==Protospace COVID 19 Reopening Plan==

This is a living document, and subject to change while the group decides on it's content. Don't be shy! Think of it this way-- If you are a member of Protospace, not only are you encouraged to make changes, Not editing implies that your agreement with this document. We need our input.

==Occupancy==

Currently the Alberta government limits indoor gatherings to a maximum of 15.

Protospace will provide a mechanism near the entrance that will show the total current occupancy at a glance. An example mechanism would be tag board with 15 tags. It is required that all members must use this mechanism entering and exiting Protospace. If Protospace is at maximum occupancy, you are not allowed to enter.

==Limiting Transmission==

* If you are sick you are not allowed to enter Protospace.
* You must observe the 2 meter social distancing rules at all times.
* After using a station, (such as the laser cutter) you must disinfect the station according to directions posted. (This is not always going to be practicable, wash your hands before and after using)
* Wash your hands.

We need a way to ensure bathrooms are properly cleaned and stocked and surfaces like door knobs are cleaned. This is a current requirement from AHS for us to be open.

==Consequences==

* Any member seen not following the above rules is subject to a 2 week suspension of card access.
* The member with the lowest issued tag number is considered the person responsible for enforcement.

==Additional Things Members Can Do To Help ==

* Try to use the space as minimally as possible. Do your projects at home as much as you can.
* Wear a mask.
* Use the tracking app [https://www.alberta.ca/ab-trace-together.aspx ABTraceTogether]

A Keyholder is a vetted member, sometimes called a "full" member with 24x7 access to the space. A subsidized rate is available for students and other with limited income.

For those people who never come on their own, but want to come with their "friend" who is a member, a "Friend Membership" is available. Friend Members do not get an access card or storage shelf, and must be accompanied by a keyholder at all times.

== Is there a minimum membership term? ==

No, there is no minimum time or "contract". However, we do not offer "drop in" or "single month" memberships -- if you chose to stop being a member, you must go through the one month Probationary period again, to rejoin. (We allow a "vacation period" annually if requested).

The events calendar is kept fairly up-to-date. Dates of training events are also on the "school" section of my.protospace.ca. Other than that, monitoring the "protospace-discuss" Google group is probably the best way to hear what's going on.

Odds are good. Probably frighteningly good.

Sure. If you make use of a machine and it requires consumables or you push it through more than enough wear to cause damage, you will be expected to monetarily compensate the space. Also, we are not a production shop. You can't reasonably turn Protospace into an assembly facility. If your production stands in the way of others wanting to reasonably use the space, you may have to answer some hard questions.
